French Regional Knife
Gwalarn is a modern knife, created by Henri Viallon, "Meilleur Ouvrier de France", for the account of Vialis Création. The blade is strong, broad, and has a groove, as well drawn so that the hand, even wet, can open the blade.
The medieval village of Sauveterre de Rouergue founded in 1281 and classed as one of France's "Most beautiful Village", is a lovely 13th century royal bastide built around a square with its multitude of arcades.
The "Atelier de Sauveterre" has taken over the manufacturing of knives, as was the village's main activity from the 13th to the 18th century.
