Bastien Toubhans, known as Bastos, established his workshop “Beau Merle” in Arconsat.
Trained as a metallurgical engineer, he soon realized that this path did not fully align with his aspirations. Drawn to the tangible and the handmade, he chose to work with his hands. Today, he places his technical expertise at the service of high-end artistic cutlery, where precision, mastery of materials, and attention to detail come together.
He is particularly inspired by the fine cutlery of the 18th and 19th centuries, both French and English, which he revisits with subtle contemporary touches.
He likes to think that his knives are destined to accompany moments of sharing.
Each piece is entirely handcrafted in the workshop. These unique creations are intended for discerning collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate exceptional cutlery and the union of tradition and innovation.
